According to Bloody Disgusting, current flavor of the month Robert Downey Jr is in talks to play the iconic Vampire Lestat Du Lioncort from novelist Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles.

You may remember that Tom Cruise was the first actor to portray the creepy Vampire in 1994′ Interview With The Vampire, while Stuart Townsend wore the fangs in the poorly recieved 2002 Queen of the Damned.

As of yet, no details have been released concerning which book from the Vampire Chronicles they will be adapting.
