Everybody’s favorite teenager; Dakota Fanning will star in a sequel to the classic 1939 movie The Wizard Of Oz.

Yep, according to Teen Hollywood, the 15 year old actress will play the granddaughter of Dorothy.

The movie, which is technically a sequel to Return to Oz more than a direct descendant of The Wizard of Oz, will be set in the present day. Co-Producer Todd McFarlane had this to say…

“You’ve still got Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she’s much closer to the Ripley character from Alien than a helpless singing girl.”
