Remember the days when a Sonic the Hedgehog game equaled a happy experience?

No?

Well trust me, those days used to exist.

Sonic & Knuckles was released way back in 1994 and arguably was the last time Sonic appeared in a triple A title, and the good news for all Xbox 360 owners is that come September, you can download the game from the XBLA service for 800 microsoft points.

And if like me you remember that Sonic & Knuckles was backward compatible with Sonic 3 and 2, the surely you will be wondering, as I did, whether or not the XBLA port of Sonic & Knuckles will retain that functionality, so in three words I shall give you the answer you seek.

Yes, it does.

Indeedy.

BUT!

And there always is a BUT in situations like this, though this one is a bit of a no-brainer; you must own Sonic 3 and 2 as well as Sonic & Knuckles.
