Lucky Japanese Wii fans have been able to own a black Nintendo Wii for a while now and it seems only a matter of time before Nintendo make an announcement detailing when we Westerners can get our own hands on the admittedly cool piece of hardware.

Well, Nintendo are not quite ready to announce when we can get our black Wii’s but they have announced that come this holiday season, we WILL be able to buy a Black Wii remote, nunchuk and MotionPlus widget.

So, without having to read too hard between the lines, I Sock, predict that a black Nintendo Wii will be available alongside the aforementioned Wii remote and add-ons.

But I just have to add, as with the various color variations with Nintendo’s DS, (and there’s shit loads of colors available for the DS) there will be absolutely NO difference in performance capabilities, in short; the Wii will still be about as powerful as a Sony exec at a Nintendo board meeting.
