Wii Internet Channel Now Free!

wii internet channelWe here at Nerdles.com don’t have many nice things to say about the Nintendo Wii. Sure, we can appreciate its ambitions with regards to implementing new ways to play games but we just can’t shake the feeling that the Wii is nothing more than a last throw of the dice by a company who was falling way behind in the console race. In short, we think they got lucky and despite the general consensus that they should be applauded for being “innovative” we think they are greedy bastards who are screwing over gamers everywhere.

Now, why did I begin with that rant?

Well, Nintendo have announced that their Internet channel is now free.

Yep, something that they should never have charged money for is now free. I mean, as if the Wii didn’t have enough going against it, the fact they charged to use the Internet has always pissed me off. The fact that I finally crumbled a couple of months ago and PAID for the service has always grated my conscience.

NOW Nintendo are basically admitting that they should never have charged me in the first place and that I was indeed, as I suspected, a complete and utter fool for handing over my money.

Twats!

Right, anyway, the facts, if like me you paid 500 Wii Points you will be able to have a NES title from the Virtua Console in October, and if you don’t like or want an old Nes title then tough shit.
