Although Resident Evil 4 is in production, Bloody Disgusting has revealed that it will be the last movie in the current series and that Resident Evil 5, tentatively titled Resident Evil: Begins, will be a reboot of the series.

Some might say that a reboot of Resident Evil should have happened after the first movie but not us, we here at Nerdles actually enjoyed the somewhat bland re-telling of the Umbrella Corporation’s shady experiments.

Anyway, according to Bloody Disgusting, “the idea is to redo the story of a special miliatry unit who fights a powerful, out of control supercomputer and hundreds of scientists who have mutated into flesh-eating creatures after a laboratory accident.”

Sound familiar?

It should do, that’s the first movie all over again isn’t it?
