Variety has reported that the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, which was in development over at Warner Bros will no longer be made by the studio.

Now, fret not He-Man fans, this doesn’t mean that the movie will not get made, it just means that Warner Bros will no longer be producing it.

Mattel, who owns the rights to property have had a falling out with the studio and will now make the movie somewhere else after a series of disagreements on the direction each wanted the movie to take.

It is expected that Masters of the Universe will still be directed by John Stevenson though super-producer Joel Silver won’t be a part of it thanks to his exclusive deal with WB.
