Gladiator director Ridley Scott has been approached about directing The Passage, a novel about experiments on humans concerning bat bites which inadvertently creates a race of vampires.

The script has been adapted by John Logan, who wrote Scott’s Oscar-winning epic Gladiator.

We’re not sure at this moment in time whether or not Scott will work on The Passage before or after he does the Alien prequel.
