The N64 classic Golden Eye has been rumored to be coming to XBLA ever since, well, XBLA launched but now it seems that it’s never going to see the light of day…

Or will it?

A Rare rep recently posted the following on their official website regarding the off-again on-again nature of the project…

“That was some time ago, my friend. [The news that Golden Eye was canceled for good] Fate was against us that day. Destiny conspired to raise the hurdles even as we attempted to clear them, resulting in unpleasant groinal injury. I suspect we’re long past the stage where an agreement was on the cards, but you never know. Stranger things have happened…somewhere…probably.”

Ah, the old “you never know”…

So what does that mean exactly and do we care anymore?
