David Cronenberg is set to remake his 1986 movie The Fly which was itself a remake of the 1958 version.

Personally I’m pretty excited about this. I watched the 1986 version a couple of weeks back and was amazed at how well it had held up over the last 23 years and though I find it hard to see where Cronenberg can improve upon it, I still have a desire for a re-telling of the story.

I mean, a guy turns into a fly, who doesn’t want to see what the tech whizzes can do with that with today’s technology?

Fingers crossed this actually makes it into development eh?
