Yesterday we reported that a Friends movie was in the pipeline. We got our news from James Michael Tyler (he played Gunther) who claimed that it was at the very least in the talking stages of production, BUT, as it turns out, James Michael Tyler was talking through his ass.

According to Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox AND Lisa Kudrow, who arguably would be more in the “know” that poor old Tyler, there are no plans, as far as each of them are aware, to make a Friends movie. They said it themselves by issuing the following statement, look…

“We are not aware of any plans for a Friends movie.”

See?

Seems to me that old Gunther was trying to get something moving himself and that his statements to the News of the World were more wishful thinking than any real scoop.

Anyway, good try Gunther, good try…
