David Goyer Spills The Beans On Ghost Rider 2!
Dark Knight writer David S Goyer has been talking about the recently announced Ghost Rider 2.
Goyer confirmed that he will take up producing duties on the movie which although considered a reboot of sorts, will still retain Nicolas Cage as the motorbike-lovin’ superhero.
Anyway, this is what he had to say in a recent interview with Collider…
“I’m coming on as a producer, and we’re basically doing a polish of my nine year-old script,”
The script in mention was apparently written with a more mature audience in mind, and Goyer confirmed that that was definitely a direction he’d want the sequel to go…
“It was a Blade-type film [His original script]. Now they want it to be PG-13. But… The Dark Knight has come out and I like to say that it was skirting the bleeding edge of PG-13, so people’s concepts of what a PG-13 movie could be [have changed].”
Well, this is all very interesting but I’m afraid that as long as Cage is on-board it’s only ever going to be mediocre…
