Bungie Reveals “Six-Year Plan” For Halo!

Bungie’s Frank O’Conner revealed to USA Today that Bungie has a ‘six-year plan’ for the Halo franchise which will end with all the novels, anime and game cannon merging into one another.

From the upcoming novel; Halo: Evolutions, to the comics Halo: Helljumper, to the anime Halo Legends and of course the game Halo: Reach, there’s plenty of activity in the Halo universe so it’s good to know that everything will be interconnected.

Anyway, this is what he had to say about it all…

“We do have a plan that goes out at least six years. Eventually it will become very apparent that there is a plan for the way the cannon all ties together and the way the comics and the novels all tie together.”

O’Conner then went on to talk about Halo: Reach, a prequel to Halo 3, and he went to great lengths to explain what a prequel is…

“Halo: Reach is a chronological prequel but it is not a prequel in the directions the Star Wars prequels were to the orginal movies. It will cover events in and around the planet Reach.”

He even found time to talk about Master Chief…

“I think that Master Chief’s fate, Cortana’s fate and the identity of that giant, dark planet at the ending (only seen if you finish Halo 3 on the hardest level) are probably big mysteries that would be irritating if the were just cliffhangers.”
