This next bit of news just smells of an Oscar nomination.

Marlon Wayans will get to show us all whether or not he can act in Bill Condon’s biopic of the late great comedy genius Richard Pryor.

Originally Eddie Murphy was to play the iconic funnyman but at 48 years of age, some people felt that he would be too old. So in steps Marlon Wayans which I must admit is a genius bit of casting.

Even better news is that Chris Rock will produce the movie, along with Adam Sandler, Mark Gordon and Jennifer Lee Pryor.

Look for the movie to hit cinemas sometime next year.
