Captain Kirk To Play Jack Ryan?

Star Trek actor Chris Pine is apparently in talks to play Jack Ryan.

If negotiations are successful, Pine would succed Ben Affleck, Harrision Ford and Alec Baldwin as Tom Clancy’s famous character.

George Clooney has recently been linked with the role but it looks like producers; Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mace Neufeld want someone younger which in my opinion, is a good decision.

Hopefully Pine will take on the role as Jack Ryan though I have to wonder what previous Ryan; Ben Affleck did wrong in The Sum of all Fears as personally, I thought he did quite well in the role.
