Tom Hanks Wants To Make Dan Brown’s ‘The Lost Symbol’ Into A Movie…

In a shocking twist worthy of a Dan Brown best seller, Tom Hanks has gone on record as saying he would like to reprise his role as Robert Langdon for an adaption of Dan Brown’s latest thriller ‘The Lost Symbol’.

Talking to MTV, Hanks had this to say about the book…

“I just finished it last week. Page-turner. Dan Brown knows how to weave a tale. I was exhausted by the end of it.”

When asked if he would like to star in any movie adapation of the book he replied thusly…

“I’d love to if they’re going to do it. I’m not going to walk away from that. If they make it again, I hope they ask me. If they didn’t, what did I do wrong?”

I’ve got to admit, while I wasn’t particularly interested in the last two Robert Langdon movies, an adaptation of The Lost Symbol would get me excited. I’ve just finished reading it myself and like Mr. Hanks I too was exhausted by the end. Though by the end of the book I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’d just recieved a lecture from Dan Brown on the history of the Freemasons rather than been part of any adventure.

Still, I wouldn’t mind seeing what Ron Howard could do with it…
