The CW’s has ordered 9 more episodes of Vampire Diaries which will see the first series out. This comes as no surprise as the teen Vampire drama set a record as the best rated series premiere ever on the channel last month.

Writing on her Twitter account, Nina Dobrev – Elena Gilbert on the show – said:

“The Vampire Diaries has officially been picked up for the full season! Here’s to continued success and congrats to my cast-mates!”

She continued:
