Ghost In The Shell To Be Made Into 3-D Movie!
Variety is reporting that Dreamworks are developing a 3-D live-action movie based on the 1995 cult anime classic Ghost in the Shell.
This is how they broke the news…
DreamWorks has tapped scribe Laeta Kalogridis [Shutter Island] to adapt the Japanese manga property “Ghost in the Shell.”
DreamWorks is making the futuristic police thriller as a 3D live-action film.
Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul of Seaside Entertainment are attached to produce and originally brought the project to DreamWorks.
Ghost in the Shell was first published as a Manga back in 1989 which then evolved to the iconic Anime movie. Everything from The Matrix to a whole host of sci-fi thrillers was inspired by it.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Ghost in the Shell, check out the trailer for the 1995 anime movie that I lifted from Youtube.
