Johnny 5 Is Alive! Short Circuit To Be Remade!

Steve Carr (Paul Bart: Mall Cop) has signed up to direct Short Circuit, a remake of the 1986 classic in which a robot become self-aware (or if you prefer; alive).

Short Circuit will be written by Dan Milano (Robot Chicken) and produced by a bunch of guys I’ve never heard of who go by the names of David Foster, Ryan E Heppe, John Hyde and Jason Taragan.

I remember the original Short Circuit movie and even back then when I was like nine or something, I always thought that it was pretty racist with the lead actor giving the most offensive Indian accent ever. I think the guy playing the Indian inventor of Johnny 5 was white and they just colored his skin and basically told him to pretend he was drunk and in an Indian resturaunt with his pals at the end of a gruelling drinking session.

Worst accent ever…
