First Screenshot Of EA MMA Hit Web!

ea sports mma screenshotEA have released the first screenshot of their UFC rival MMA game; EA Sports MMA.

Details, other than some fighter’s names are pretty much hard to come by at the moment, especially details on the play mechanics.

Anyway, I’ll pass you over to EA Sports boss Peter Moore…

“Fans have been begging EA Sports to get into the cage, and EA Sports MMA will put them in control of the sport’s unique combat experience while finally, in an immersive interactive experience, capturing the raw intensity that has made mixed martial arts one of the fastest growing sports in the world. We’re ready for the fight.”

Mmm, interesting, I write about MMA and know a lot of video gamers who happen to be MMA fans and I’ve never heard one of them declare any sort of interest in EA making a MMA game. Everyone seems pretty satisfised with THQ’s UFC: Undisputed.

But still, that screenshot looks pretty juicy, to me it looks like Fedor Emelianenko slapping an arm bar on some poor foe.

For those of you are interested, here are some of the more well-known confirmed fighters; Tim Sylvia, Jason Miller, Frank Trigg, Randy Couture (my hero) and of course ‘The Last Emperor’ Fedor Emelianenko.
