Dune Remake Loses It’s Director!

The much talked about Dune remake has run into some difficulties. The project, which is sitting on a $175 million budget has lost its director.
Peter Berg, who directed Hancock and The Kingdom amongst others, has reportedly left the project to make, get this; a movie based on the board game Battleship.
Anyway, Dune is now in need of a director and the producers are looking for a director who can…
A. – “put the movie together for under $175 million.
And B. – “someone who already has a preexisting passion for the novel and is enthusiastic about the project.”
The two early front runners for the directors chair are District 9′s Neill Blompkamp and The Descent’s Neil Marshall.
