Madness! Willem Dafoe Was Nearly Batman!

Willem Dafoe has revealed that he was nearly cast as Batman.

But not THAT Batman, Michael Keaton’s Batman way back in 1989.

Yep, back when Tim Burton was looking for his Batman, Dafoe’s name was considered.

Take a read of what Dafoe had to say about it…

“Very early, they talked to me about playing Batman. I hate to spread these things because unless you remember it well, you’re stoking the fires of bullshit. But I remember it. I’ve had my brush with these things.”

Shocking as it may seem now, I have to wonder if it would have made a difference back then?

Dafoe eventually got to appear in a Superhero movie when he played the Green Goblin back in 2002′s Spider-Man.
