Even though Bioshock 2′s arrival is imminent, (next February or March) it is unlikely to have the same impact that playing through the original Bioshock had and, though this is not meant as an insult, Bioshock 2 when it comes down to it, looks like more of the same.

So where are we going to get our next fresh first-person-shooting experience from?

Enter Metro 2033, which has more than enough story for all of us, after all it’s a video game based on a best-selling novel.

Yep, a book adaptation.

Metro 2033 takes place in, get this; 2033 and centers its story around a society of humans who live in the Moscow Metro system, or Subway to the yanks, after a nuclear holocaust prevents them from living on the surface.

It’s due for release sometime in 2010 and will be an Xbox 360 exclusive, for the mean time, check out the trailer…
