Zombie Movie Alert – ZMD: Zombies Of Mass Destruction!

I love Zombie movies, seriously I do. Preparing for the inevitable Zombie outbreak is what I do when I’m waiting for trains, busses etc…

Like most men my age, (early thirties) I’ve got a gameplan for that fateful day and it basically involves a trip down to my local gunshop for a spot of looting and a brisk visit to my local Porsche dealership, then it’s off to Alaska where hopefully it will be cold enough to freeze the Zombies and render them useless, making them easy pickings for me and my shovel…

Ahem, okay, now I’m always excited when I hear about a new Zombie movie and this next one is no exceptoion.

Called ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destuction, the plot sees a group of civilians who make up a conservative island community that’s under attack from Zombies.

So far so generic, but, where ZMD is different is in its character roster which includes:

• A kick-ass-tough-as-nails-chick called Frida who leads the Rebels.
• An Iranian college student who the rest suspect to be an Iraqi terrorist, (seriously, I’m not making this up).
• And a gay business man who has gone back to the island to ‘come out’ to his mother. (surely a first for Zombie movies?)

All in all this movie looks pretty shit, it seems like it’s trying too hard to be clever and satrical.  But I’ll watch it anyway and probably end up loving it.

I’m currently reading (my third time through actually) World War Z and I suggest all of you to hurry on down to your local book store and pick it up if you already haven’t…
