Reports are beginning to surface that Microsoft have banned a whopping 1 million modded Xbox 360 consoles from their Xbox Live service.

For those of you who don’t know much about the modding scene, it basically boils down to ‘chipping’ the consoles to enable them to play pirated games.

And that my friends is a bit naughty.

Anyway, I’m not going to get into the morality of it here, suffice to say that there’s two sides to the argument of piracy, though one side has a considerably stronger case than the other. I’m not going to divulge which side of the fence I sit on…yet…
