The sequel to 2006′s Silent Hill is rumored to be going into production next year.

The first Silent Hill, which was an adaptation of Konami’s hit video game, grossed $97.6 million and as video game adaptations go, wasn’t that bad.

This rumor comes from one Paul Jones, who was the special effects makeup designer for the first movie…

“I was working on storyboards for that [the sequel] around the same time last year, it’s going to be pretty crazy. There’s a lot of cool stuff in there. Roger (Avary) has some awesome ideas and hopefully we’re going to bring that to fruition sometime next year.”

Not sure what to make of this one. I don’t know if I want to go back to Silent Hill in any capacity; video game or movie, I guess I’m just tierd of all that damn fog…
