Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Movie Gathering Pace?
In the week after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 broke all sorts of sales records, it is only natural that Holllywood would try to get in on the hype by talking about making a movie about the game.
It’s nothing new for Hollywood to jump on the gaming bandwagon, indeed, we’ll probably get the same rumors when Bioshock 2 is released next year.
But the Call of Duty movie seems to be gathering pace.
Scottish actor Kevin McKidd, who voiced “Soap” MacTavish recently spoke with the New York Post about the proposed project…
“They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn’t get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film.”
And if the studios would want him to reprise his role on the big screen?
“If the script is good, and Gerard isn’t available [laughs], then absolutely!”
