richard-alpert-picAccording to Coming Soon, Lost star Nestor Carbonell is being lined up to play Khan in the next Star Trek movie.

If this turns out to be true then it will be an awesome piece of casting though I must stress that this is firmly within rumor country as JJ Abrams hasn’t even signed on to direct the movie yet. He’s still waiting on a script.

John Cho recently spoke of his desire to see Khan in the Star Trek sequel.

Richard Alpert as Khan?

Why didn’t I see that, it’s such an obvious bit of casting…

How typical. Instead of casting an Indian/South Asian in the role, the notorious Hollywood casting system is at work again repeating the mistakes of The Last Airbender, Prince of Persia, Dragonball and numerous other movies.
