According to industry analysts, Nintendo’s upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii’s lifetime sales will top 15 million units sold.

Electronic Entertainment Design and Research’s Jesse Divnich is the person responsible for the prediction and he went on to predict that Mario will outsell the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by the end of the year.

Mmm, it’ll be very interesting to see if that turns out to be the case. Even though I myself will be picking up a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii on day one, will the masses in general flock to the game stores?

I have no doubt that it will be an evergreen title but seriously, outsell the Xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare 2 by the years’ end?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see won’t we?
