Remake News! Joshua Jackson To Star In UFO

Fringe star, Joshua Jackson has signed on to star in a movie version of the British sci-fi classic UFO. Jackson will play a test pilot Paul Foster, who joins the Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization, or if you prefer; S.H.A.D.O (hmm, couldn’t they find something to go with W?) who are a covert organisation built under a Hollywood studio who defend us against a race of aliens who specialize in abducting us and using our body parts.
Iron Man visual effects supervisor Mattew Gratzner will direct. He had this to say about the project…
“Character development is the most critical part of ‘UFO,’ and Joshua’s terrific talent and range is exactly what I need to convey the inner conflict of the character of Paul Foster,”
The script is being written by Ryan Gaudet and Joseph Kanarek.

Good choice. Joshua Jackson should do just fine portraying the moody, headstrong rebel Paul Foster. I just hope they change the part about SHADO being built under a film studio. A great show otherwise, but that was ludicrous, even if it was meant as an “inside joke.”
