Modern Warfare: Reflex Wii Video Review (IGN.com)
Quite curiously, Activision have released Modern Warfare: Reflex without much fanfare, in fact it almost seems like they tried to deliberately bury it which considering its Metacritic score of 76, comes across as a strange thing to do.
I’ve ripped the IGN.com video review from Youtube and while IGN.com didn’t seem to like the game that much, blaming the motion controls in particular, the video does give you the gist of what Modern Warfare: Reflex is all about.
For those of you who can’t be bothered to watch the video review, I’ll jot down some of the features that Reflex offers Wii owners.
- The online mode is fully featured and aside from the absence of voice chat and host migration, the game pretty much runs like it does on its PS3 and 360 counterparts.
- Obviously the graphics have been toned down somewhat and again, obviously the game doesn’t support full 1080p HD though it does look pretty nice in 480p provided you’ve got the necessary cables.
- The graphical interface looks pretty much the same as its true-next-gen brothers as it retains the same in-game menu structure.
All in all, if you haven’t got an Xbox 360 or PS3 and are desperate to see what all the fuss is about regarding the Modern Warfare craze then Modern Warfare: Reflex on the Wii should at least give you an idea of why the game is so popular.
