The Sopranos Movie Ain’t Official Yet, Capish?
By
This is one movie I hope they don't make, I love the Sopranos but I liked the way the series ended...
There’s a rumor floating around that there’s a Sopranos movie on the way. Heck, ever since the series ended fans of the Mafia-based TV show have been speculating when we’ll see Tony Soprano on the silver screen.
Well, Tony’s cousin Christopher Moltisanti, (played by Michael Imperioli) has said that any talk of a Sopranos movie is pure rumor and speculation at this moment in time. Talking to Digitalspy this is what he had to say…
“There’s been rumours, that’s all they’ve been. There’s been nothing from David Chase about a movie. Until we hear from him it’s not official,”

It would be killer if they would make a movie!
If the original team are all back for it that’d be great.
It would be good and bad… the way the show ended was fantastic and honestly, if they make a movie, it would ruin it. Of course everyone wants to know what happens to tony, the family, the other family, but in all actuality, it was left for us to do that and end the show the way we wanted to in our heads. No i dont think tony got shot in the diner, i think that was put there to put that in peoples heads. David Chase is a brilliant director, creator, writer, and whatever else he can possibly do, if he wanted to tell us what happened, we would have saw it in the last episode.
Adam, you hit it on the head. OF COURSE, everyone who loved the show has at least the granule of a fantasy about a revival, big screen, whatevs. But this is similar to the impulse every adult has about moving back home: sure you would love the idea of home cooking, free rent (and HBO!), and the loving comfort of your familia (assuming you had the Hollywood version of family life), but the stark reality is that you really CAN’T go home (your parents are pains in the a$$; the cooking was so-so most nights – veggies? c’mon – and THE SOPRANOS AREN’T ON HBO ANYMORE). Better we are left with the amazing memories and – TWO YEARS LATER – still speculating about what the %&#$ happened at Holstens??? (And why did the last scene happen there, instead of Nuovo Vesuvio?) See you at the watercooler…
Everyone wants to see Tony Soprano get his fat self important ignorant head bashed in.
i think a movie should be made,i for one did’nt like the ending in the final episode.i did’nt watch every episode for 7/8 years to have an ending that had you having to draw your own conclusion.
The ending of the show wasnt good. Who wants to fantasize about what happenend? I would love a movie or 2
