I am a true sopranos fan, i loved the ending but still think
given the right touch, a movie is needed. My thought is at
their last meal together, tony says that carlo is gonna
testify. That could be a fantastic series of story lines
within itself. The tension drama of what will happen to
tony. As things pile up and look worse and worse for tony
is there a change in him? Does the fat bastard get his and
do 1,000 years in prison? Or, does David Chase find something
worth saving and pull Tony out of the fire? While waiting to
find out Tonys fate, does Carmella turn into the merry horny
wife who's about to be free of Tony and finally feels free?
Who stands behind Tony during the trial, who makes the move
to take over, if anyone? Can Pauly really be trusted?
Just a few things i think would make for an intresting
movie.

i think a movie should be made,i for one did'nt like the ending in the final episode.i did'nt watch every episode for 7/8 years to have an ending that had you having to draw your own conclusion.

Adam, you hit it on the head. OF COURSE, everyone who loved the show has at least the granule of a fantasy about a revival, big screen, whatevs. But this is similar to the impulse every adult has about moving back home: sure you would love the idea of home cooking, free rent (and HBO!), and the loving comfort of your familia (assuming you had the Hollywood version of family life), but the stark reality is that you really CAN'T go home (your parents are pains in the a$$; the cooking was so-so most nights - veggies? c'mon - and THE SOPRANOS AREN'T ON HBO ANYMORE). Better we are left with the amazing memories and - TWO YEARS LATER - still speculating about what the %&#$ happened at Holstens??? (And why did the last scene happen there, instead of Nuovo Vesuvio?) See you at the watercooler...

It would be good and bad... the way the show ended was fantastic and honestly, if they make a movie, it would ruin it. Of course everyone wants to know what happens to tony, the family, the other family, but in all actuality, it was left for us to do that and end the show the way we wanted to in our heads. No i dont think tony got shot in the diner, i think that was put there to put that in peoples heads. David Chase is a brilliant director, creator, writer, and whatever else he can possibly do, if he wanted to tell us what happened, we would have saw it in the last episode.
