New Sherlock Holmes Movie First In A Planned Trilogy

Three Sherlock Holmes movies? I think I like the sound of that...

Robert Downey Jr has revealed that story-lines for two Sherlock Holmes sequels have already been written.

Talking to Empire, the Iron Man star admitted that he would love to turn his upcoming Guy Ritchie-directed Sherlock Holmes into a trilogy. He even stated that as long as they continued to be successful, he’d love to do more Iron Man movies as well…

“Between Guy and me, the missus (producer Susan Downey) and Joel Silver (producer), we definitely know what we would like to do for the next two sequels. But I want to add a massive disclaimer: I’m just generally a confident person. I’ve no idea where anything is going to go.
To tell you the truth, I would be happy to bounce back and forth between Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark until I am forcibly retired. And also, fortunately, not unlike Iron Man, there is a way to continue along the lines of it and not become increasingly embarrassed by my greying hair and ropey muscles.”
