BBC iPlayer Not Coming To Xbox 360 Anytime Soon
By
It's disgusting that Microsoft want to charge its users for something everyone else gets for free...
It looks like Xbox 360 owners who want to experience the BBC iPlayer on their console are not going to get what they want thanks to the greedy executives over at Microsoft.
Even though both the Wii and the PS3 have the BBC iPlayer available to their users for free, Microsoft do not want to do the same for their users.
And the reason for this?
Well, the BBC don’t want to charge anyone but Microsoft do.
This is what a BBC source told The Telegraph.
“Microsoft only wants to offer its users access to platforms it can charge for as this is the model it is pursuing. It wants to ensure that only those paying for Xbox Live Gold accounts can access its additional content services and even then there is usually a charge on top to get access to those. This does not fit with the BBC’s model and Microsoft will not budge at the moment,” continued the source.
What the hell is wrong with Microsoft?
It wouldn’t hurt them at all if they made the iPlayer available to Silver Members, would it?
Am I missing something obvious here?
This is making Microsoft look bad…
