MTV recently caught up with Nicolas Cage and asked him about his much-speculated return to the Ghost Rider franchise.

The next Ghost Rider sequel will be directed by Dark Knight writer David Goyer and is thought to be a reboot of sorts even though it’s been rumored that Cage will retain the Johnny Blaze role…

So, are you attached to the Ghost Rider sequel?

“You probably know more about it than I do. What have you read? Yeah, well I don’t really know how to answer that, because I don’t have all the details.”

Will Eva Mendes return as Johnny Blaze’s love interest?

“I don’t know [if we'll reunite again]. I don’t know where Eva’s at on that.”
