Paramount Pick Up Follow-up To Paranormal Activity

Paramount have secured the distribution rights to Area 51, the follow up to Oren Peli’s box office smash Paranormal Activity.
Director Peli won’t even talk about the existence of Area 51 even though it is widely known that he has finished filming the movie which had a $5 million budget.
The general thoughts on Area 51 is that it will be more effects-heavy that the small budget Paranormal Activity and its release date is speculated to be sometime next year.
The rumored plot involves three teenagers who infiltrate the infamous Area 51 looking for evidence of Aliens. Of course, in true Blair Witch style, the Youtube junkies film the entire thing.
