Ubisoft have announced that a new Prince of Persia game will hit stores in six months time.  Subtitled; The Forgotten Sands, the plot will be a continuation of the Sands of Time storyline.

According to Ubisoft, The Forgotten Sands will feature…

“many of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new gameplay innovations that gamers have come to expect from the Prince of Persia brand.”

Man, I didn’t see this coming, I mean sure, you’ve got the movie coming out and it’s traditional to have a video game accompanying it but for something as big as a new Prince of Persia game to have stayed under the radar for this long, well, that’s just worrying…

All the major consoles and handhelds will get a version of the game which will be released on May 28th, 2010.
