Paper Trail Holds Up Quantum Leap Reboot
Scott Bakula has revealed that an issue over ownership rights is likely holding up a relaunch of sci-fi TV series ‘Quantum Leap’. The Emmy-nominated actor played Dr Sam Beckett on the NBC show from 1989 to 1993. He recently told ‘Moviehole’ that a rumoured reboot of ‘Quantum Leap’ is not happening any time soon. “There’s a big, long, complicated paper trail in terms of ownership – it was bought by different studios; Barry Diller bought it… that’s the world of Universal Television. And if Universal TV gets bought, it’ll get even more complicated,” he said. If it ever was to get around the legal wranglings they would probably ruin it with some Shia LeBoef style…

Shit My Dad Says To Be Made Into A Sitcom
Twitter sensation ‘Shit My Dad Says’ is headed to television! CBS has picked up a comedy project based on the Twitter account, which has enlisted more than 700,000 followers since launching in August and has made its creator, Justin Halpern, an Internet star. I follow this page myself on Twitter and have to say it kills me how scarily accurate and funny it is. “Will & Grace” creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are on board to executive produce and supervise the writing for the multicamera family comedy, which Halpern will co-pen with Patrick Schumacker. Halpern and Schumacker will also co-exec produce the Warner Bros. TV-produced project, which has received a script commitment. Nice to…
Square Enix Predicts The Death Of Console Gaming
Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada has revealed that his company expect console gaming to die within the next ten years. Talking to MCV, the boss of the RPG giant had this to say… “In ten years’ time a lot of what we call ‘console games’ won’t exist,” And the reason for this? “Somewhere around 2005 the console manufacturers’ strategy shifted. In the past the platform was hardware, but it has switched to the network. A time will come when the hardware isn’t even needed anymore. With that, any kind of terminal becomes a potential platform on which games can be played – that’s exponential growth in the potential of gaming. The potential size of the…
Psychoville To Return Next Year
The excellent ‘Psychoville’, from the makers of The League of Gentleman, will be returning to our TV screens next year! The bad news is that it wont air until the end of the year but hey – at least the weirdness is returning! The last time we saw the show, there was a rather big explosion and what I assumed was death on a large scale, so I assume there will be some survivors after the Ravenhill explosion. No doubt Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have got a host of new strange characters lined up for us either way so watch this space for further news! httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCbnxX7VEuU Tweet This Post
