Hostel director Eli Roth’s next film will be Invasion, a Colverfield-esque take on the classic alien invasion formula.

The plot opens with a subway accident in Los Angeles after which the survivors climb from the devastating wreckage to find that LA has now been covered in snow and all its inhabitants are running about in a state of panic and are covered in acidic goo.

Roth is currently working on another alien-themed movie called Endangered Species so it’s a bit surprising that he’s going to jump into Invasion as soon as he’s wrapped up with E.S.
