Wii Sells 550,000 Units Over Thanksgiving Weekend And The DS/DSi Sells A Million

Just when you think the Wii-craze is starting to fizzle out, Nintendo go and announce that they sold a mind-blowing 550,000 consoles this Thanksgiving week.
Think that’s impressive?
How’s about this…
Nintendo also sold 1 million DSi/DS handhelds over the same period of time, which amazingly works out that a Nintendo system was sold every 2.5 seconds for the duration of the holiday week.
Cammie Dunaway, that smug lady from Nintendo’s E3 shows was quick to throw in another patronizing comment regarding the sales boost…
“Holiday shoppers are finding value in our products’ prices, and through a gameplay experience that is unique to Nintendo,”
