Is There A Riddick 3 On The Way?

Vin Diesel has ignited rumors that there is a third Chronicles of Riddick movie on the way by posting the following on his Facebook page…

“The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting.”

This is the first time we’ve heard anything of substance regarding the existence of a third live-action Riddick movie.

Last time out, Riddick fans were treated to the somewhat weak Chronicles of Riddick and it’s perhaps because of that movie that I’m not really excited about a third one.

Now, if the series goes back to its Pitch Black roots and pits Riddick in an isolated action-driven story then I’m back on board but until then; meh!
