Some Juice On The New Jack Ryan Movie

Producer Mace Neufeld has revealed some details about the upcoming new Jack Ryan movie.

This time, instead of being based on a Tom Clancy novel, it will be an original story based on a script by some writer named Hossein Amini.

The next movie will be the fifth Jack Ryan movie to hit the cinema, following on the heels of The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and The Sum of All Fears.

So, what did Mace have to share with us all? (Mace is such a cool name)

“We pick him up when he’s on Wall Street, butthe Jack Ryan movies have never been action films. They’re kind of ‘thinking man’s thrillers.’ Jack is referred to as a ‘water-walker’ because of his ability to jump ahead to conclusions. That’s very big in all the Jack Ryan films and that’s how we want to portray him. He’s a teacher. He’s a historian. He’s a linguist. And he’s really smart.”
