The Saboteur – IGN.com Video Review

Ever wanted to know what it would have been like to cause havoc and chaos in Nazi-occupied Paris as an Irish Drunk during World War 2?
Well, thanks to EA, now you can.
The Saboteur is an open world sandbox game very much in the mold of Grand Theft Auto and sees you play as William Grover-Williams, an Irish racing car driver who gets caught up in the war after some of his friends get killed by Nazi’s.
Yep, I’m not making this up.
Developed by the now-defunct Pandemic studios, The Saboteur employs a very distinctive graphical styling which reminds very much of that movie Pleasantville in that at the beginning of your adventure, almost everything in Paris is devoid of color and as the story progresses, and the resistance to the Nazi’s grows stronger, (thanks to your shenanigans) Paris regains its colorful exuberance. It’s an intersting game mechanic that’s for sure.
But…
Is the game any good?
As per usual, this is the moment where I hand you over to the good guys at IGN.com for their video review…
