Okay, now, I don’t believe this rumor at all, the only reason I’m posting it is coz I don’t want to look stupid if it does come true, anyway, some site called connectedconsoles begun the rumor that Gears of War 3 will premiere at the Spike VGA’s next Tuesday.

The reason for this rumor?

Well, it’s pretty weak actually, and again it’s all thanks to a simple tweet which was sent from Spike TV Host Geoff Keighley to the Gears of War design director Cliff Blezinski (Cliffy B) and went a little something like this…

“You ready for the big show on Saturday night? Can’t wait to see you!”

Now, there’s loads of things wrong with this rumor, firstly, didn’t Epic state that the next Gears of War video game would be exclusive to the next generation of consoles, secondly; development on a game that big would have leaked by now, thirdly, why would EPIC spunk news this cool at the VGA’s when it would steal the show at E3 and finally, from that tweet alone, how the hell did someone manage to link it to a third Gears of War?

Anyway, like I said, it probably means nothing,the only reason I’ve sent this in is coz I wan’t to cover my ass if it turns out to be true.
