Tobey Maguire Dismisses Rumors That He Will Be The Next Bilbo Baggins

Well, it’s confirmed, Peter Parker (a.k.a Tobey Maquire) has debunked the Internet rumor linking him with the role of Bilbo Baggins in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming The Hobbit.

Maguire issued a statement which said…

“I have not met with del Toro. We don’t have any near future plans. I don’t know if something got misconstrued or mis-communicated but the source was not accurate at all.”

However, Maguire was keen to stress that he would be open to the idea of wearing prosthetic feet…

“I love Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson, and I certainly wouldn’t take myself out of the conversation. But I haven’t read a script or talked to anybody about it.”

So, expect the rumors to start right back up again in the very near future…
