It Looks Like We Have To Wait Until 2011 Until We Get Dead Space 2

According to Gamestop, Dead Space 2 will not hit retail until 2011.

Now, you could be forgiven for thinking that we were getting the sequel to 2008′s surprise hit next Xmas as the game industry tends to churn out sequels every two years but, like I said, according to GameStop, Dead Space 2 will not be released until 2011.

EA have yet to officially confirm the release date though the excutive producer for the game; Steve Papoutsis did have this to say…

“We’re committed to delivering this game at the highest quality level possible. It’s going to ship when it’s ready.”

Now, I can handle a 2011 release if we’re talking a Q1 but anything longer is just going to drive me crazy with anticipation.
