Rumors are beginning to circulate that Avatar star Sam Worthington will play Flash Gordon in the planned movie remake.

Some unnamed Hollywood insider has been reported to claim that Worthington is up against Ryan Reynolds for the role.

Here’s the “scoop” -

“If he gets the role [ Worthington] it would be quite a big deal as Flash is an all-American hero. Right now it’s between Sam, Ryan Reynolds and one or two others for the lead role should the project actually get off the ground.”
