It seems that Jon Favreau’s DreamWorks comic book adaptation Cowboys and Aliens will start shooting in July.

The news was leaked by The Daily Beast who revealed the news somewhat stealthily in a remark made about Avatar. Here it is –

The Avatar factor could make the difference on Cowboys and Aliens, a DreamWorks project to be directed by Jon Favreau that starts shooting in July.

Cowboys and Aliens is a sci-fi western that is set in an alternate past where aliens invade during the time of the wild frontier.

The script has already been written with Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof responsible.
