With the recent news that Spider-Man 4 has been postponed, Marvel Entertainment has decided to give the May 6th, 2011 release date to Kenneth Branagh’s Thor.

Thor was originally due to hit cinemas two weeks later on May 20th but Marvel Entertainment didn’t want to miss the first weekend of the summer which traditionally is a highly coveted time frame.
